1500 demand justice at Orgreave Picnic

A crowd of 1500 gathered on Saturday for the Picnic to mark the 30th anniversary of the Battle of Orgreave, which saw unprecedented acts of state violence against British workers.

Organised by the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign, the picnic saw former miners and their families joined by activists and supporters from across the country. Unite Community members from across Yorkshire and further afield attended, with the day being a huge success

A full report of the picnic is in the Morning Star, and below are a selection of images from the day.
