Have you overcome difficulties in your life?
In these days of cuts, payday loans & foodbanks, how do you still manage to put food on the table?
Are you a woman who has found success in a man’s world?
Can your story help someone else turn their life around?
Do you want to change the outcomes for girls and women and contribute to a growing movement of women standing up for a better world?
Jack Drum Arts is gathering stories and testimonies from women across Durham and Darlington as part of a Durham Women Rising project to share the untold stories of women survivors and achievers.
Your story could end up on the stage along with many others, your words of wisdom could be spoken by professional performers, your story could help women get a fairer deal and stamp out sexism.
Or you could simply come along to support other women – be part of the process, be part of the change!
Initial drop-in story-gathering workshops will be held 9.30-12.30am on Mon/Tue February 24th/25th and March 3rd/4th at Durham Community Support Centre, Miners Hall, Redhills, Durham. These will focus on the theme of “Feeding the Family’ but all welcome if you have a story to tell.
If you would like to get involved with the project please contact Julie Ward on 07525048313 or email email@example.com
